PEQON was founded in 2020. Since then our project footprint and aftermarket services have grown steadily within South Africa and the rest of Africa. We now have a number of specialist associates with an advanced skill set in liquid-solid separation as well as a team of mechanical, metallurgical, and electrical engineers and aftermarket specialists that support our projects.

PROJECTS

PEQON expands its capital equipment portfolio to include materials handling and conveying.

North Mara Gold Mine, operated by Twiga/Barrick, has completed the detailed engineering design for the paste backfill plant and underground distribution system (UDS) for its Gokona Pit.

PEQON was appointed for the detailed engineering design and supply of the materials handling conveyor system that will move the filter cake from the new filter press building to a filter press stockpiling bunker, whereafter the cake will be moved by road to a secondary filter cake stockpiling bunker.

From here a filter cake transfer and loading conveyor system will transport the filter cake at a rate of 250tph to the paste plant that will feed the UDS operation.

The total horizontal length of the four conveyors is 220m. This project will increase the reach and value offering of Peqon into other parts of the minerals processing sector.

The DOMINO Filter Press

The DOMINO GHT5000F is the largest filter press in the world. The first demonstration plant has been successfully commissioned at the Toque Pala copper mine in Peru. It is equipped with Diemme's AIDA smart technology and intelligent systems to give operators real-time performance data and remote access. The DOMINO will lead the global charge in the dry stacking of tailings and deliver significant environmental and safety benefits.
